FACEBOW TRANSFER

By taking the records in denture manufacturing, various relations of the jaws are determined and these relations are transferred to the articulator. Taking the records and transferring them to the articulator is critical in denture construction.

Maxillomandibular relationships can be grouped mainly into 3 classes.

• Orientation relation (Facebow)
• Vertical relations (Superior-inferior direction) Vertical dimension.

  2. Occlusal vertical dimension
• Horizontal relations
  1. Centric relation (Anterior-Posterior direction) b- Protrusive relation (Anterior-Posterior direction) c- Lateral relation (Vestibulo-lingual direction)

Facebow

The attractive features of the Artex facebow are its easy use that allows fast and effective work. The cranium/axis relationship is calculated according to the patient's anatomy in just two minutes.

The facebow transfers the position of the maxilla to the articulator in the cranium/axis relationship. Thus, the articulator provides the static state of the patient's mouth on a 1:1 scale. This procedure is essential for functional prosthetic restoration. While facebow recording is essential for the diagnosis and treatment of functional disorders, it reduces the amount of time spent at the bedside during the adaptation period.

The Artex facebow is the standard facebow for electronic recording with Cadiax Compact. It is possible for electronic markers to be mounted directly on the facebow.
